Ghana Woven Baskets

The Low Laundry Basket sits wide and shallow, keeping contents visible and within reach. It's handwoven from elephant grass by artisans in Bolgatanga, Ghana, and finished with two black leather-wrapped handles.

A Size for Every Room

Available in three sizes, from 17" to 21" in diameter. All hold laundry or folded blankets without softening at the base. Place one beside a bed for daily clothes or under a console for throws.

Same Construction, Different Scale

The shallow form of the Low Laundry Basket uses the same horizontal coil construction as taller hampers, just wider, with a lower proportion. Weavers in the Bolgatanga district shape this by hand, working without a frame, so each basket holds its shape under load.
